We are happy to bring you more georgious trunk show from the new Interweave Books as they become available. Our last show was a major sucsess. As with all of our shows, books and yarns used in the patterns will be readily available for you to purchses.
As soon as we get the full schedule from Interweave, we wil be posting more dates when you may come and view the fabulous designs, hand made by the fiber artists themselves.
We are expecting dates for
LACE STYLE, KNIT KOMONS,
FOLK BAGS and other favorites. Each show includes 10 to 12 original designs from the books. They are on display here at the retail shop for a short period of time so get to the shop as soon as the
posted dates. Bring your friends and the shop does allow children.

This pretty summer treat comes to us by way of Spain.
With a plentiful 217 yrds per 100 gram ball this yarn is a winner. The
colors are fun and the hand is soft and sweet.
MIRIAM FELTON Workshop TBS
Miriam Felton lives in Salt Lake City with her husband, a chocolate
point siamese named Ekho and enough yarn to keep a whole village warm
through a long Siberian winter.
She began knitting in high school because, although she crochetted
very well, she was rather bored with the limits of crochet (i.e. bulk
and massive yarn usage). She had her sister cast on for her and then
off she went. She learned most everything else from books, and was
designing from the start.
She began blogging in October 2004, and in late 2005 began designing
patterns to offer for sale. Since then she has had patterns published
by KnitPicks.com, in Interweave Knits, by small yarn companies, and
has self published many patterns both in print and electronic formats.
You can purchase all of her self-published patterns in your Local Yarn
Shop and a full list of designs can be viewed in the Design Portfolio.
Miriam focuses mostly on lace patterns, but is a great lover of socks,
especially ones with historical significance. She is particularly
proud of the Eleanora Sock pattern. She also binds books and makes jam
which can be purchased from her Etsy Shop.
Learn the ins and outs of how to make knitted lace.
This course will cover everything from how to make a yarn over, which
decrease to use to get a specific effect, to how placement of
decreases shapes the finished fabric.
If you can knit, purl and do basic decreases you have all the skills
required. This class will also cover how to read charts.
We are hoping for an early October date as Miriam will be coming east
for the Festival in New York, so watch your e-news for the details. We
have already had requests for early registration and will begin to
take reservations for this most wanted class very soon now.
There will be 10 places available and we will begin to take
reservations as soon as the contracts are signed.
